Privacy Policy

Who we are

Sparky Group LLC operates AI Assurance Directory. Contact: [email protected]. This policy covers the website, magic-link sign-in, Stripe subscriptions and transactional email. It does not cover third-party sites we link to.

What we collect

• Account email. You type it on the sign-in page. We store it on the user row in Cloudflare D1 so we can send a magic link and attach an entitlement.
• Session cookie. After you use a magic link we set a signed aigov_session cookie so the browser can read your plan. The cookie is not an advertising identifier.
• Billing identifiers. Stripe customer id, subscription id, plan, seat count, lookup key and period end. Card numbers stay at Stripe.
• Optional Pro data. Watchlist items, Team invite emails, and an alerts-digest subscription if you ask for the weekly source-change digest.
• Page-view analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that sets no cookies, does no cross-site tracking and reports aggregate page views only. We also keep server-side counts of sign-ups, checkouts started and checkouts completed (an event name, a timestamp and a plan, with no email or other personal data).
• Monthly briefing opt-in. If you tick the unchecked box on the sign-in page, we store your email, the time you opted in and an unsubscribe token so we can send the free monthly briefing teaser. You can unsubscribe from any email.
• Stripe webhook events. Event id and type so we do not apply the same event twice.
• Transactional mail logs. Whether we sent a welcome, payment-failed or cancellation message, so we do not send the same notice twice.

We do not add anyone to a marketing newsletter without an explicit, unchecked-by-default opt-in. The monthly briefing is opt-in at sign-in (unchecked box) or from your account, with an unsubscribe link in every email. We do not place a public email field on the home page.

Why we use it

• To sign you in and keep you signed in.
• To provide the plan you paid for and to open the Stripe Customer Portal.
• To send transactional mail: magic links, a welcome message on first subscription, a payment-failed notice, a cancellation confirmation, and (if you opted in) the weekly Pro digest.
• To invite Team seats that you asked us to invite.
• To compute operator metrics (subscriber counts, MRR, churn) without publishing emails.

Processors

• Cloudflare. Hosts the static site, Pages Functions and the D1 database, and provides Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookie-free, aggregate page views).
• Stripe. Checkout, invoices, taxes as configured in Stripe, and the Customer Portal.
• Resend. Sends transactional email from addresses on the sparkygroup.net domain (including [email protected] and [email protected]).

We do not sell personal information. We do not share account emails with directory vendors.

Cookies

The only first-party cookie we set for the product is the signed session cookie after a successful magic link. Stripe may set cookies on Checkout and the Customer Portal, which are Stripe pages. Page-view analytics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.

Retention

We keep the account email and entitlement row while the account exists and for a reasonable period after cancellation so we can restore a subscription or answer a billing question. Magic-link tokens expire in fifteen minutes and are marked used. You can ask us to delete the account email and related rows by writing to [email protected]. We may retain invoices and the minimum billing record Stripe requires.

Your requests

Email [email protected] to access, correct or delete the account email we store, or to close the account. We will need to confirm control of that inbox. Stripe portal invoices remain available to the Stripe customer on the subscription until you delete that customer in the portal or ask us to.

Children

The service is for professional research. It is not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account for a child.

International

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Data may be processed in the United States and in other regions where Cloudflare, Stripe or Resend operate. By creating an account you understand that transfer.

Changes

We will post a new effective date on this page when the policy changes. Material changes that affect a paid account are also noted in transactional mail or on the account page when we can.
